It's a Hot FBI Thriller - Burning Desire By Ravyn Rayne

    Ravyn Rayne is joining me today with her erotic thriller Burning Desire.  Rayvn, what made you drawn toward writing about crime thrillers and romance?
Ravyn:  I used to love the show Without a Trace. I also enjoyed Fringe and The X-Files. I thought it'd be fun to write an FBI centered series that focuses on different cases while also heating the stories up.
     She's brought along a little teaser for us:  

     I feel a hand in my hair, brushing a soft strand away and I roll into his touch, wanting more. 
    
     "Joel?" I whisper with shut eyes and a smile. When did he get home? I feel coarse rough hands slide down my neck and my stomach tenses. Something feels off. Joel's hands are smooth.

Kallista:  Stevie, I think when we're young we all secretly have big dreams for the future.  If you could have been told one thing that you weren't told when you were a teenager, what would you like to have heard?
Stevie:  I would have liked to have been told that I could do anything.  My mother was a hard-working woman and she loved to read, but she was very down-to-earth.  I think her dreams had been crushed many years before I was born.  It wasn’t that she didn’t believe in me, I just think she wanted to shield me from disappointment, so she was always trying to tone down my dreams.
Kallista:  What specific thing have you done that impressed yourself?
Stevie:   I wrote a book, and readers actually liked it.  I’m very proud of that.

“How did you find us, Mr. Blackthorn?  Any paid assassins lurking about?”

“Ah, resorting to threats is usually a man’s last alternative,” Effie said with fake sympathy as she patted his hand.  “I’ll have some coffee, Grace.”
“Listen you two; I’m trying to help you.”
“Help us what, Mr. Blackthorn?  Put five thousand dollars in your pocket?”

Kallista: Owning His Bride is such a hot story! What was your favorite part to write? Sue: Ohhh definitely the medical exam scene. Poor Becca couldn’t leave the prison without passing the required exam, so she was very reluctant to cooperate, and her reluctance and embarrassment made that scene quite enjoyable to write.
